Final pit stop at Elkhart Lake. Definitely one of my best pictures so far. Heat off the engine, water spray over the fuel tank, and a mechanic breathing in a mix of hot air, methanol and water, while pushing off Jacques to the final laps of the race.

Because the image is such a good example of how good this Canon 300mm lens is, I made this crop of the image scanned at 2000dpi available. Click on the thumbnail image on the left to get a full-screen shot (1024x768; 111kb) of just the small section in the top center of the image.
