Due to my involvement with the Mobil 1 Web site in the summer of 1995, I pay special attention to all drivers running with Mobil sponsorship. Al Junior is the most visible Mobil supported driver, and at Laguna he also was making the big news with his slight chance to still claim the 1995 championship. It was a longshot, though, and this image taken during Saturday warmup already shows signs of realization that he wasn't finding the speed needed to win the event. The picture is one of dozens I shot of him that morning, but it stands out as the best one mostly because of his expression. Fill flash worked great, too - barely visible.
