Just after Gil DeFerran's victory at Laguna Seca, about a dozen of euphoric fans appeared at the entrance to pit lane, and while a lot of other photographers were shooting roll aftr roll of Villeneuve with his cup, I shot only a few of those and went looking for more interesting subjects: these people were near insane in their "BRAZIL BRAZIL BRAZIL" chanting, and every frame I got shows some faces in totally great expressions. This image was taken before they noticed me, and I like it better than those 35mm shots with fill.
