Cleveland Raceday. Elsiseo was being lapped by a few faster cars, and being the gentleman he is he was opening the entire racing line to the faster cars. He almost lost it in that dirt/rubber mix that made up the racing surface where he had to go. Several laps later, Bachelart totally lost it in a similar situation. I was waiting for this kind of image for many laps, as the rubber and dirt was just building up in front of me. Bachelart's crash was so close to me that the image is all out of focus. Same with the Pruett/DeFerran inident late in the race. I have the picture, but it's out of focus. Only 10 photographers were allowed in the prime position facing this turn, and I wasn't one of them. I saw them all duck when the Pruett car was incoming... Without somebody else cutting a hole into the fence at this position, I would have had little access to the track at all - the grandstands actually have a better view at Cleveland!
