Rookie Alex Zanardi during his ill-fated qualifying attempt at Milwaukee in 1996. I knew from 1995, that if I waited just long enough in this corner, I could get some photos like this. This is one of the few times I actually used the auto-focus on the camera, and it performed perfectly. This is just one of 12 frames I have on film of this incident. I chose it here, because Grid Indy, a Brazilian magazine, chose this photo for a 2-page spread in their August issue.They liked all the debris flying.
