September 8, 2009 - Peter will head out for a fall northbound JMT in a few days - at least one of us may complete the yo-yo this year. Claire and Damien are back at school, and Damien is really bumming he can't come along. Claire still hasn't realized yet that she really wants to go back, too...

July 27, 2009 - We are back home - the yo-yo didn't happen after Claire got sick just before the turnaround point. We made it out alright, but due to her fever and to some extent because of the bad weather that had moved in, we decided that the "yo" without the "-yo" was good enough. More info on the trip will follow soon.
June 15, 2009 - Food spread out on the floor of the living room, counting and sorting is underway.
June 1, 2009 - We are currently still busy getting our gear sorted. With less than 4 weeks remaining, things are switching into high gear soon.
Food planning is the most important part of our preparations right now, as we have to mail out the Muir Trail Ranch and VVR food caches by June 20.
Our gear also needs a few more updates - bear canisters for Claire and Damien need to be ordered, a new pack for Claire is in the mail already, and a number of odds and ends need to be checked off the to-do list.
