| Here a clear view of the start of the first wire run. Duct tape to hold the end in place, with maybe 2" of wire past the point where you plan to cut the core to the desired final length. note again the 1" markings on the core. You will use these to wrap the wire around the core, making one turn around the cotton for every 2" of rope length. Don't go tighter. Looser seems to work ok, but you may run into issues when you bend the cables at a later time. You don't want to the silver wire to slide on the core inside the wire and touch the return run! The 2" per revolution has proven to work very well I have never had a failure inside the ICs, only at the termination points. |
